Hello friends! For our first blog post we would like to show you how to use Fineline™ Applicators with glue. The patented Fineline™ Applicators are the first precision applicators that use an air-tight non-clogging cap wire closure system to ensure that the applicator and your preferred water-based adhesive are always ready for immediate use. While you may use any water-based adhesive with Fineline Applicators, our Red Top Glue is superior as it has the right consistency for the glue to come out of the applicator without squeezing too hard. It all depends on what you prefer!

Say your favourite glue is Mod Podge. Here is what you’ll need. The first step is to decant the Mod Podge into the Fineline Applicator bottle and tightly screw the applicator back on. You’re ready to go! Now, the best size tip in our opinion is the Standard 18g tip (yellow tip). This is because glue has a thicker consistency so therefore you’ll need more pressure to squeeze out the glue. This is compared to using a thinner medium like ink where very little pressure pressure is needed on the bottle.

This doesn’t mean the fine tip 20g applicator won’t work with glue! However, because of the finer (smaller) tip, you’ll be squeezing harder for the glue to come out. This is great option for very small amount of glue, such as needed in model train repairs, glueing on diamontes, etc.
